Recently the Federal Reserve issued a regulation that effective July 1, 2010 any activation of overdraft transactions on a Debit transaction can no longer be initiated unless each and every member signs an approval for this service. In the past, we automatically placed your account in an active status for this service if you were to overdraw your checking account with a Debit transaction—we will now need a signed approval to enforce this service after July 1, 2010.

If you have a Debit card with the Credit Union and you would like to continue maintaining the option of overdraft in case your checking balance goes to a negative level, please print and complete the ***form and fax or mail this request into our office. We will be sure that your overdraft is not interrupted if activation is needed. Without your signed approval, all Debit transactions will be denied after July 1, 2010 if you do not maintain a positive balance in your checking account.

Overdraft service does not apply with an ATM transaction. If you use an ATM to request more funds from your account than is available, your transaction will be denied.
